These terms apply to your use of this website and to orders placed with Spencer & Murphy Booksellers. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them.
Pricing
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Postage is additional and is calculated at checkout. We may correct any pricing errors before accepting your order.
Stock & single copies
Most titles are unique secondhand or antiquarian copies, so we usually hold only one of each. Occasionally a book may sell in‑store at the same time it is ordered online; if an item is no longer available after you order, we’ll contact you and offer a full refund.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email acknowledges we’ve received it; our acceptance happens when we dispatch the goods. We may decline or cancel an order (for example, if an item is unavailable or there’s a pricing error), in which case we’ll refund you in full.
Payment
Online payments are processed securely through our bank’s hosted payment portal. We do not store your card details. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Shipping, returns & refunds
Delivery is covered by our Shipping policy, and your return and refund rights by our Returns & Refunds policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Book Club accounts
If you register for a Book Club account, you’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Please let us know promptly of any unauthorised use.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the Commonwealth of Australia.
