Description
On August 7, 1994, 11 miners were killed when an explosion ripped through the BHP-owned No 2 mine in Moura, central Queensland. The miners' bodies were never recovered, they remain entombed in the mine. This book is a compilation of articles, interviews and comments from the fortnightly socialist newspaper, Workers News and the premise of the book is that the deaths were not as a result of an unexpected accident, but as a direct result of BHP's drive to boost productivity and cut costs.
