Disastrous Decade, Flood and Fire in Windsor 1864 – 1874

Description

The author describes a huge flood in 1867 where the Hawkesbury River rose some 20 metres and flooded Windsor creating huge damage. Fires in 1874 destroyed much of the town. The author gives a detailed account of both these disasters and tells how the community re-established itself.
