Black and white illustrations and some black and white photos. This is an autobiographical account of the author’s experiences and he provides a fascinating description of Hong Kong, Canton and South China in the latter part of the 1800s. This book was originally printed in 1894.

Note: Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact, but spine is slightly cocked. No foxing in this copy.
