Front endpapers have a small tear on the bottom of two pages. Numerous black and white photos and line drawings and some colour plates. A comprehensive work on the monasteries of Western Europe.

Note: Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Very faint foxing in end papers, text unfoxed. Dust jacket has wear on edges, now covered with library laminate and taped down. Dust Jacket price-clipped. Edge very faintly marked and with library stamp on side edge. Boards have some rubbing and some edge wear. Library sticker on spine, stamp on inside front free endpaper, tape marks on endpapers, library stamp on endpaper and mark where most of libray envelope has been removed.
