Description
The main purpose of this volume is to make accessible various unedited Syriac texts on monophysite disputes of the sixth century, the Greek originals of which have largely disappeared. The two disputes covered are the agnoetic and tritheist debates, from the point of view of the 'orthodox' Monophysites. Many of the documents are from the Patriarch Theodosius of Alexandria, but there are also fragments of Anthimus of Constantinople, Constantine of Laodicea, and Theodore the Monk.
