This publication includes a complete list of currently accepted names of vascular taxa together with their distributional data at the regional level in Queensland, and conservation status. The enormous diversity of plant life in Queensland , with 8504 species currently known, represents some 40% of Australia's seed plants and ferns, or about 3% of these plants in the world.
