Translated from the original Spanish with complementary notes by Dom Eugene Perez, O.S.B This is a condensed version of the diaries of Bishop Torres. It has descriptions of daily life and activities, early contact with Aborigines by Torres, the of founding of New Norcia; explorations of north-west Western Australia, Broome, Pago, Drysdale River and the Kalumburu Mission and the Lombardina Mission. It talks of Benedictine monks of New Norcia and has Aboriginal and Roman Catholic interest.
