Description
Numerous sepia-toned photos and a map illustration. The photographer, Frith, took up photography when it was in its infancy (some 10 years old) and took photographs in Egypt and later Britain. It is thanks to Frith and his mass-produced photographs that Britain was able, for the first time, to get some idea of her own appearance.
